After spending part of the day in the downtown area looking for a job, Tim made his way home on the Blue Line - where I met up with him. He is just a normal guy who has lived in the city all his life, went to Wisconsin for a vacation, and cheers for the Cubs. When I told him that I go to Bible college, he said that one of his sons graduated from Moody. What a lead into a spiritual discussion! The problem for Tim is that he doesn't have the commitment to Jesus that his sons have. He thinks he can have his thing going on with God, but just not be doing anything about it right now. He said one day he'll get serious about God again, so I encouraged him to make that day today. Pray that Tim will realize that he can't hide from God even when he's away from his sons.
